Colossians 2:8
Beware [1] lest any man spoil you through philosophy [2] and vain deceit [3][4][5], after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. [6][7][8]
- â "Beware" is being used in the sense of a sentry on guard duty. Sentry is a noun and in its plural form sen·tries. A soldier stationed at a place to stand guard and prevent the passage of unauthorized persons, watch for fires, etc., especially a sentinel stationed at a pass, gate, opening in a defense work, or the like.
